International Tourism Partnership (ITP)

Stephen studied French and Spanish at Oxford University before joining the British Airways Marketing and Operations graduate training programme. He spent five and a half years working in many senior front-line roles at the airline, and was part of the Strategy and Alliances team that lay the ground-work for the "One World" alliance.
Following this, Stephen spent nine years at VisitBritain, progressing from Business Planning Manager to Head of Partnerships to General Manager, Quality, which involved managing national quality grading and accreditation schemes. During his time at VisitBritain Steve also led specific, organisation-wide projects focusing on CRM and branding.
2006 saw Stephen take a Director of Membership and Marketing role at the RSA, where he led the successful recruitment of a network of 26,000 senior individuals and professionals. Here, he was closely involved in the development of the RSA's "Carbon Limited" project which tested the potential for inducing behavioural change through a individual carbon cap and trade scheme.
Steve worked as a tourism consultant specialising in destination marketing, strategy and sustainable tourism before joining the International Business Leaders Forum as Director of the International Tourism Partnership in 2009.
Steve is a member of the UK Sustainable Development Commission's Advisory Panel, and is also studying for a qualification in Executive and Business Coaching.
